qX3/Horiba4

Air-cooled, Peltier-controlled cuvette holder for the Horiba FluoroLog, FluoroMax, Aqualog or Nanolog Spectrofluorometer
Product Overview

The qX3/Horiba4 is a temperature-controlled cuvette holder with three optical ports for use in the Horiba FluoroLog® or FluoroMax® (Series 3 or 4), and the Aqualog® or Nanolog® Spectrofluorometers. The holder temperature, magnetic stirring and temperature ramping are controlled by a TC 1 controller (included).  Functions of the TC 1/qX3/Horiba4 are managed by Horiba’s FluorEssence™ software. The qX3/Horiba4 is mounted on a floorplate and blue front panel with utilities (cables and dry gas tube) brought to the panel for easy access. Use the TC 1/qX3/Horiba4 to set and maintain precise sample temperature and stirring at a steady reproducible rate, while bathing the cuvette in a controlled gaseous environment. Although dependent on rapid, precise Peltier technology, no circulating water is required for operation from 0 °C to 110 °C.  To assure full coordination between the TC 1/qX3/Horiba4  and the FluorEssence™ software, this cuvette holder should be purchased through  Horiba.

The TC 1/qX3/Horiba4 can be purchased direct from Quantum Northwest for use in older Horiba fluorometers.  A display and buttons on the front panel of the TC 1 controller can be used to set temperature, turn temperature control on/off, set magnetic stirring speed, turn stirring on/off, set a rate (°C/min) for a temperature ramp, and start the ramping process.  Quantum Northwest’s control software, T‑App (available for purchase), can be used for all of these functions and can plot and save temperature as a function of time to a text file.  T‑App can also cause the TC 1 controller to perform a series of functions using a script file (a text file containing a series of commands to be sent to the controller with a reproducible timing).  If you want to use the Horiba control software, please contact Horiba.
