qX2/Cary5000

The qX2/Cary5000 is a temperature-controlled cuvette holder with two optical ports for use in your Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i or 7000 UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometers. Simply place the qX2/Cary5000 in place of the spectrophotometer’s existing sample cuvette holder and its mounting plate. Two options are available for bringing utilities (tubes and wires) out of the sample compartment. For laboratories that have the Agilent extended “nose” assembly, we can provide a simple access plate that mounts below the nose. Otherwise, you may purchase our PANEL/5000, which permits connections of the front of the spectrophotometer. Use the qX2/Cary5000 to set and maintain precise sample temperatures and stir at a steady reproducible rate, while bathing the cuvette in a controlled gaseous environment. Although dependent on rapid, precise Peltier technology, no circulating water is required for normal operation from 0 °C to 110 °C. Purchase the low temperature option, consisting of a windowed vest and capability for liquid cooling, and operate the qX2/Cary5000 from 0 °C down to -35 °C. Purchase the extended temperature option to extend operation above 110 °C to 150 °C. Control the qX2/Cary5000, using the TC 1B Temperature Controller included in the purchase price. For additional control and temperature monitoring, use Quantum Northwest’s computer control software, T-App, available for purchase. Alternatively, use an ADL program for temperature ramping with WinUV ADL Shell software.
