CD 250/PE1050
Temperature-controlled holder for the Perkin Elmer LAMBDA 650, 750, 850, 950 and 1050 UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometers for a wide variety of cuvette typesThe CD 250/PE1050 for the Perkin Elmer LAMBDA 1050 UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometer provides temperature control, dry gas purging and magnetic stirring as needed to a wide range of cuvettes or other samples. This versatility is accomplished using a cuvette carriage which firmly mounts within the temperature controlled tower of the CD 250/PE1050. Cuvette carriages are available for several kinds of cuvettes, including those that are square, rectangular or cylindrical, as well as other samples such as small plates or films. Other carriages can be inexpensively designed as needed. Removable strain-free fused silica windows are placed on each side of the CD 250 to minimize convection losses. Depending on the carriage design, an additional optical port may be available at 90 degrees to the excitation. Use the CD 250/PE1050 for work in the biological range of 0 °C to 105 °C. With the correct carriage design and sample, extend temperature ranges to below -25 °C or up to 150 °C. The CD 250/PE1050 mounts in the sample beam of the spectrophotometer and utilities are threaded through the floor below the cuvette holder. Operate the TC 1/Single Temperature Controller using the menu button or control via optional program T-App.
