Peltier Temperature Control for Fiber Optic Spectrometers

The qpod is a complete sample compartment for fiber optic spectroscopy, including a Peltier-controlled cuvette holder with magnetic stirring, and fused silica lens systems with SMA fiber optic connectors. Fiber optic light sources and spectrographs are readily available from a number of sources at very low cost. Add the qpod and get a powerful spectroscopy system for a fraction of the cost of a traditional bench top spectrometer.

The qpod comes in two configurations:
qpod® The original qpod connects directly to a TC 125 controller.  Temperatures can be set on the front panel of the controller.  Complex temperature functions such as ramping may be set by an external computer (not shown).  qpod 2e The new qpod 2e has all of the control electronics in its own base.  Provide power using an AC adapter.  Control the qpod using Q-Blue, a computer program that communicates with the qpod 2e via wireless Bluetooth (or a USB cable).  Q-Blue provides all control and the computer does not even need to be in the same room.
