The 2018 Biophysical Society Meeting in San Francisco

Quantum Northwest left its heart in San Francisco… and is happy to return to the city in February!

Quantum Northwest is pleased to participate in the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society to be held February 17-21, 2018, in San Francisco, CA.  You will find Quantum Northwest’s Dr. Enoch Small (President) and Kelcey Boss (Office Manager) at Booth 605, with several Peltier-based, temperature-controlled cuvette holders on display.  Several of our partner companies will also be exhibiting at the Biophysical Society Meeting, including Agilent Technologies (Booth 528), Edinburgh Instruments (Booth 708), HORIBA Scientific (Booth 501), ISS Inc. (Booth 919), and PicoQuant Photonics North America Inc. (Booth 418).

Quantum Northwest’s biophysics customers use optical spectroscopy to explore biological molecules and systems, for example, using UV-Vis absorbance, fluorescence, circular dichroism, and pulsed-laser photoacoustics.  The Biophysical Society Meeting is the annual hot spot for biophysicists, and the 2018 meeting will be no exception. Scheduled symposia of interest to Quantum Northwest’s customers include: “Protein Dynamics, Folding, and Allostery,” “Protein Structure and Dynamics in the Lipid Bilayer Membrane,” and “Energy Transduction.”  The key to quality measurements in these topic areas is superior temperature control – which can be achieved using any of a number of Quantum Northwest products.

Scientific abstracts are due October 2, 2017.
