Quantum Northwest TC1 Temperature Calibration Kit
This kit consists of:
An RTD thermometer.
An RTD probe.
A NIST traceable calibration report for the RTD thermometer/probe combination.
The QNW TC 1 Calibrator application.
The calibration (check) method:
The probe is inserted into the probe hole of the sample holder.
The TC 1 is turned on.
The QNW TC 1 Calibrator application is started by the operator.
The operator selects the COM port of the TC 1.
The application:
1 Connects to the TC 1.
2 Obtains the low temperature calibration value from the TC 1.
3 Sets the target temperature to the low temperature calibration value.
4 Waits until the sample holder is fully equilibrated or the operator intervenes.
5 Requires that the operator enters the current thermometer reading.
6 Requires the operator to press either of two buttons to:
a “Accept” the result and continue to step 7.
b “Adjust” the TC 1 calibration and return to step 4.
7 Obtains the high temperature calibration value from the TC 1.
8 Sets the target temperature to the high temperature calibration value.
9 Waits until the sample holder is fully equilibrated.
10 Requires the operator to press either of two buttons to:
a “Accept” the result and begin equilibrating to 20 ⁰C.
b “Adjust” the TC 1 calibration and return to step 9.
The operator saves the result to an encrypted file (*.qcal) and a text file (*.txt).
At any later time the QNW TC 1 Calibrator application can be used to read the encrypted file, display it in a text control and save it as a text file or copy it to the Windows clipboard.
